Free Studio software

I know there are lots of free (or free-ish) studio systems available and I have tried many of them (only to be disappointed). However I have just started using the FREE version of MUtools - www.mutools.com

What's different about this one, I hear you ask? Well, it can run from a pen drive. In fact it only takes up about 10MB for the complete system. You can add in your own VST products to beef it up. I have a pretty impressive rack set up and still only using 110MB on my USB drive.

Does the software work though? Oh yes and it works the way you would expect it to. It's the easiest system that I have ever used and it's laid out in such a simple, uncluttered manner that it makes it instantly accessible for beginners.

I have started to create a series of video tutorials for this product - check the link below.
www.youtube.com (probably won't create anymore though as I have just swoitched to Ableton Live)

With the free version you are limited to 4 tracks and 8 VST plugins but that won't stop you producing a good demo track. Give it a try.
The middle size version comes in at 25 euros and 75 for the unlimited version with free upgrade to 4 so if you do like it and fancy more resources then it's not going to break the bank.

As long as I can install ASIO driver on a pc I can now produce music on it and not leave a trace - thats a major break through for me. Works in Windows and MAC.
